Chess Lesson 1 - All about chessboard

All about chessboard.

Lets start!

How build is the Chessboard? You will always play chess on the special chessboard. All chessboard are the same – 8 squares long and 8 squares large what gives 64 black and white fields.
Colour of fields are not only black and white but very often for example light brown and dark brown. It is really not important. We will use black and white chessboard, pawns and figures because of tradition.

Simple rules of chessboard
:

Remember that one square is one field. This is important because we will use this like measure to learn how many fields can go our pawn or figure.

On one field can stand only one Pawn or Figure.

Chessboard have numeration. Numeration is use to record moves.

When you prepare chessboard to the game remember that white rock stand on A1 Field and this is white site of the board and black castle palace is A8 and this is black site. This is important because of moves record during the game.

Chess Lesson 2 - Pieces

Chess Pieces

We have two sets of Pieces – One black and one white.
The sets are the same for each player. One set include: eights pawns two rocks, two knights, two bishops, and one Queen and King. Distribution for two main groups Pieces and Figures have two reason – value and figure ability to move back.

Queen value is 9

Rock value is 5

Knight value is 3

Bishop value is 3

Pawn value is 1

Chess Lesson 3 - Pawn

How to move Pawn

Pawn value is only one so is okay to lose tree pawns for one enemy knight. Remember that this is only clear statistic not always is good to spear 3 pieces for one Knight or Bishop. You should remember that good pawn's game is key to victory! In the last part of game – ending single pawn can change defeat in to Victory! So always try to save as many pawns as you only can.

Pawn can go only straight and only forward! Range of pawns is low one field in one move.

Pawn can't go back!

Pawns are like Infantry when they are fresh they can go more than one field. When you use first time this pawn in the game, you can decide between: move only one field or two fields in one move. Remember that pawn can make this only when you use this pawn first time. For example if you at first use your pawn on a2 and go one field straight to a3 in next move you can go only one field forward so on the a4 because this is second move of this pawn. But if this is first move, and you decide to go 2 fields you can go from a2 to a4 in one move.

Chess Lesson 3.1 - Pawns Attack

Pawns Attack

Pawn attack only on slantwise. When you kill enemy pieces yours pieces take the place where enemy was standing.

Chess Lesson 3.2 - Pawns Special Attack

Pawns Special Attack

When your Pawn is in the 5 row and enemy pawn will move 2 fields you can beat this enemy pawn by standing on square behind his pawn. To good understand watch illustration careful.

Chess Lesson 3.3 - Pawns Special Ability

Pawns Special Ability

When your Pawn reach the enemy main field (if you play white this will be H line if you play black this will be A line) Pawn will be promote. And change from pawn into one figure like Knight, Bishop, Rock or Queen. Players always take Queen because is the most powerful figure.

Pawns good and bad sides:

Good side:
8 pawns in game!
Very strong formation when pawns are good protect.
Pawn can be change in to figure

Bad side:
Pawns are slow
Single pawn without protection is very week.

Chess Lesson 3.4 - How to good use pawns

How to good use pawns

Always try to keep yours pawns protect by other pawn or figure. Why? Because if your pawn will be attack you can kill enemy pawn and keep old position - enemy lose pawn you lose pawn but you still have old position on the chessboard. To good understand watch illustration careful.

Chess Lesson 4 - Rock

How to move Rock

Rock is very powerful figure. You have two Castle in game one on left and one on right wing. Rock can move so many fields you only want, but only on straight line up and down right and left never diagonally!

Castle Attack

Is very simple! Rock after kill enemy pieces take palace where enemy pieces was standing. And that all! Rock are the most powerful in the end game in structure when rocks are double one rock on front of second.

Two Rocks Attack
– is simple but good attack. When enemy king is on the cover you can attack this cover and enemy king can't beat your rock because rock is protect by second rock.

Good and bead sides of rocks
:

Good sides:
Rock have big range.
Rock is powerful in endgame.

Bad sides:
No way to fast use rock in the game - because rock when the game start is block by other pieces.
